The actress Terry Farrell played the role of Science Officer Jadzia Dax on the TV series "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine."  Jadzia Dax is a "symbiont."  This means that her human-looking body ("Jadzia") is a host to a worm-like creature ("Dax") that lives inside.  Her brain contains memories of all the prior hosts that the creature has lived in.  In the past, Dax lived in Kerzon, who fought alongside the Klingons.  Jadzia ends up marrying a Klingon, as well as fighting alongside the Klingons again.  She is an expert with the Klingon weapon called a Batlef.
